Keith McAllister was raised in a family of journalists in Manhattan’s West Village, coming of age when the Knicks, Mets, and Jets all won championships. Starting out as a small town newspaper reporter, he then spent nearly 18 years at CNN, rising from entry level to field producing to executive management. His last role was as CNN’s Managing Editor during the era that included 9/11.
Keith then shifted to business leadership, being the CEO of two startups, Mochila and Wochit, technology companies which sold into the media industry, as well as being General Manager of Thomson Reuters Consumer Media business.
In 2015, looking for a new chapter and driven by an interest in executive performance formed through multiple executive coaching experiences, Keith became an executive recruiter. Today, he’s a managing partner at SRI and heads the firm’s digital media and technology practice.
Keith is also the board chairman of Inside Climate News, the Pulitzer-winning nonprofit news organization focused on climate and a trustee emeritus of Americares, the global healthcare nonprofit.
