Reflections on the Art of Being Human at Work.

This Being an Entrepreneur This being an entrepreneur is a guest house; every morning a new arrival. Even when you do it all right, the less desirable things can happen.
Borne What do you know about your family tree? Who are the shoulders on which you stand? What was their story, their fears, their losses, their hopes, their loves? What do they want most for you?
Ghosts How have I been complicit in creating the conditions that I say I don’t want? What are the fragments living in us, like ghosts in the machine, that need to be noticed, identified in the body, felt, healed so that they stop playing out in our lives?
Are You Okay? While grief honors what you love, placing that love onto something is what moves you beyond the deep well of the trembling sadness that comes after heartbreak. In an oddly roundabout way, grief locates our love and longings so that we can reorient on the places in our life that are ripe for joy.
Who Are You? When life washes away our careful planning and plotting and who we thought we were, we’re left with something more powerful than whatever hermit-crab-like ego-housing we’d donned and decorated. That soft core of who we are holds our hearts.
Defragmenting When we are out of alignment with our self, or out of rapport with ourselves, our life reflects that. Ask yourself: Where am I aligned? Where am I out of alignment with myself?
The Secrets of a Successful Entrepreneur We can give up our power in as many ways as we let fear drive us. The good news is: We can take it back whenever we’d like.
The Other Side of Fear Tenacity is perhaps one of the most important muscles to strengthen. When things get hard or fears fill you with clouds of self-doubt and inadequacy, tenacity is built when you keep re-investing in your product, your team, your company, your work, your partnership, your marriage, or your life even when part of you would rather disengage.
No Going Back Folks come to us at various stages of burnout, moments of transition and trial, or when they know what got them here won’t get them where they need and want to go. The choice is to opt for something better, something more suitable and sustainable, and that may feel entirely new at the edge of what’s possible.
