The Reboot Quest is truly a one-of-a-kind experience to support startup CEO’s, founders and other leaders who are confronted with personal and professional questions that won’t go away. Questions like “What’s next for me?” “What am I really here to do?” “Who am I really beyond my business identity?” “What if I really lived the life that is mine to live?”
Designed for members of the startup community who are in the midst of change or sense it coming. If you are experiencing that maybe you long to enrich your personal life as much as your business world but don’t know where to turn. This life-changing experience is based on the arc of a journey of transformation in which we acknowledge what is ending, dying or being shed so that we can more clearly see and welcome what is coming forth. In our return, we will recognize a more authentic self-emerging and will see more of our true work to do in the world.
This quest has its roots in a traditional pan-cultural rite of passage sometimes called a Vision Quest; a remarkable ceremony that people have turned to for support in difficult times throughout history. It is a return to nature as teacher and as a mirror for our truest selves. It’s a journey that supports our wholeness as human beings, helping us to better understand and embrace parts of ourselves we may have ignored, misunderstood, hidden or judged, and the unique artistry, gifts, and authentic voice we have to bring forth in our lives and in our work. Humans who have embraced this wholeness make better leaders.
The impact that can come from this journey can be understood in the shifts in our own identity and self-awareness for who we are and who we’re becoming, how we show up in our relationships, how we are to lead the work we are a part of and living a unique and authentic life.
Do you love yourself enough to listen with the ears of your heart to the other voices of yourself speaking? – Beno Kennedy
We know the transformative power of the wilderness intrinsically here at Reboot. Jerry’s Vision Quest, led by our own Jim Marsden and Jade Sherer, whom you’ll meet on this special episode of the podcast, was a pivotal moment for him. (In fact, it’s Jerry who cries in this episode.)
So when our heart started beating fast and our palms got sweaty as we talked about designing a Vision-Quest-type-Bootcamp for startup leaders, we leaned.
This is your opportunity. Are you hearing the call?

Dear friend,
This note seeks those of you who are opening up to a deeper inquiry to who you are, what matters now in your life, and how to live and lead from this place within you that yearns to live in alignment with whom you’re discovering yourself to be.
We’re asking you to place day-to-day obligations and busyness to the side, and instead, bring all of yourself to the wilderness. We’re inviting you to a journey that is individual in nature but consists of work that you can’t do alone. This is a centuries-old experience to help you see and engage your life to be lived.
We’ll support you, and a small group of others (no more than 12 total) in a journey that has helped many over the years who carry an awareness that there is a significant life transition underway, and a life beyond that is calling. Perhaps you, too, recognize that what you’re going through can’t be “thought through” or “problem solved” but rather it is direct, experienced-based, inquiry that holds the keys. An experience where Nature is both guide and support for you. Read More
Dear friend,
This note seeks those of you who are opening up to a deeper inquiry to who you are, what matters now in your life, and how to live and lead from this place within you that yearns to live in alignment with whom you’re discovering yourself to be.
We’re inviting you to an 8 day Vision Fast. Here, you’ll have access to amazing landscapes, beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, and plenty of space to hold you in the journey ahead.

This journey begins upstream of our physical time together. It starts the moment you say “yes!”. We’ll have some time before we meet in Arizona to prepare and help you make the most of our time together. When we meet as a group in the Cochise, we’ll have 8 days during which we’ll dive more deeply into what’s stirring within you, prepare you for your solo time, and fast – a 4 day fast that includes a 3 days (and nights!) solo. We’ll take time after your solo to help you integrate what you’ve experienced and what you are learning, and continue to support you after our time together. Perhaps the most critical part of the journey is how you bring to your life that which you’ve learned and gained from the southeast Arizona wilderness.
Jade and I have been guiding this work together for about 20 years now. This work is land-based; it is a return to our roots in wild nature. In the last years, we brought groups to varying magnificent wild landscapes, and we are always met with fierce beauty that draws the participants deeply into their own interior landscape. A Quest is different from a Reboot Bootcamp in that the work is companioned primarily by the land and its inhabitants, and that you have the unique experience of time in solitude and reflection that has the possibility of shaking your foundations in crucial and vital ways.
If as you read this, you notice a response in your body that pulls you towards it and catches your attention, we know that you may be full of questions, and might like to talk about this!
If so, feel free to reach out. Jade and I are happy to speak with you and can support you as you make a decision that is right for you.
We are always thrilled to open this door for folks and feel honored to be witness and guide for this astounding process!
Warmly,
Jim Marsden
Participants will be invoiced $1,000 upon acceptance into the program. If you have questions about the Quest, reach out to jim@reboot.io and jade@reboot.io.
